Nearest hotel to Tanah Abang

It is perhaps one of the nearest hotel to Tanah Abang Block A. Walking distance, but you'll find Metro Tanah Abang first (place to buy in bulk), get into it and cross a connecting bridge to get to Block A. This hotel is strictly for those aiming to shop til drop. However the streets around this place is busy and quite dirty and is not recommended for those who can't stand it. The hotel itself is excellent - very helpful receptionist, good security, + wifi, + clean & comfortable rooms.

We tried to ask for a refund 2 days in advance but was unable to do so. Not only did we call them directly where we got nowhere as their English was so poor, but also an Indonesian speaking Booking.com personnel called them and was not able to negotiate. Booking.com was great in trying to help us but iHome Residence was not at all compassionate in giving us a refund despite giving them 2 days notice.

A good place if you have to stay one night in jakarta and use the time for shopping. Hotel is located at busy side road.Hotel is clean but less comfortable. There is a terasse with a kitchen. Staff is friendly. One night is ok for this price but for more nights you will need more comfy, like a mirror in the tiny bathroom, I think. But its clean.

great hotel, use of a decent kitchen as well, wonderful! small rooms, but comfortable. good location, close enough to walk to the centre of Jakarta, huge hypermarket 10 minute walk away. lots of markets close by for clothes and presents too

I have stayed in this hotel just for 1 night (stop over in Jakarta before flying back to Europe). Taxi from Soekarno-Hatta airport to this property cost 150.000 IDR/one way. I have arrived about 1 AM and check-in desk was still working (I was afraid, that everything will be closed). Receptionist asked for a 200.000 IDR deposit before giving the keys to my room. The room was very clean, with small refrigerator, excellent working A/C (it was even too cold), but bathroom was completely empty. There were no any toiletries inside and there was missing even toilet paper. Thank's god, I had my personal one :) Night view to the city from kitchen area was really nice. Bed was hard, but it was OK. Surroundings of the hotel is really poor, but acceptable. Definately will stay again if I ever visit Jakarta again in my life, because price was unbeatable (less than 19 EUR/per night for double room) :)
